Students who enter Germanna in the Fall, 2007 academic year or later, may be eligible for financial assistance when they transfer to a 4-year institution. The grant is $1000 per year. An additional $1000 is awarded to students who pursue undergraduate work in science, math, nursing, engineering or teaching.
To receive this state-sponsored grant, students must:
- Transfer to one of Virginia's public or private four-year colleges after receiving their associate degree.
- Graduate with a 3.0 GPA from Germanna. and maintain a 3.0 GPA at the four-year institution.
- Apply for financial aid and have financial need (defined as a federally calculated EFC of 8,000 or less).
Continued eligibility is based on maintaining a 3.0 at the four-year college and demonstrating continued financial need. The grant is limited to three years or 70 credit hours.
