Jason Henry

Join Jason Henry, Deputy Superintendent at the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center, as he discusses the juvenile justice system. He’ll examine the challenges facing juveniles today, as well as provide insight into what it takes to work in a detention center environment, sharing personal stories from his own experiences.

Jason Henry was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in May 1991 with the primary Military Occupational Specialty of Military Police. While in the USMC, he accrued several wartime and peacetime awards and commendations.

Prior to his retirement in July 2012, Henry obtained his bachelor’s degree in social and criminal justice while also serving as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (SNCOIC) of Professional Military Education (Advanced Course) at the Training Education and Operations Command in Quantico, Virginia.

In November 2012, he became the Deputy Superintendent at the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center in Stafford, Virginia, where he currently still serves.
