Veteran students and spouses are eligible to receive free laptops as part of a new Virginia Department of Veterans Services project.

VDVS inaugurated the Virginia Veteran Laptop Project by delivering 20 Lenovo Thinkpads to Germanna’s Military & Veterans Service Center.

To help set veteran students up for success after leaving Germanna, the laptops are theirs to keep.

Zuri Polk, Military Education & Workforce Initiatives Coordinator for the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, said, “Our mission is for veterans and their families, as well as active duty and their families, to elevate and educate themselves so they can provide for their families.”

“We’re really excited to do anything we can to support our veteran students and their families,” said Germanna Vice President of Student Services Dr. Tiffany Ray-Patterson.
