Thank you for inquiring about the PTS division at Germanna Community College. Whether your goal is to complete one course to enhance your skills; complete a career studies certificate, certificate, or associate degree to garner an immediate job or promotion; or earn an associate degree for transfer, we can hopefully meet your academic needs. Included on this page are links to our programs of study, support services, advising information, transfer opportunities, and faculty and staff. Automotive Technology Diagnostician and Automotive Technology Technician - The automotive programs are career studies certificates are designed to help students meet specific industry standards. Department Chair- Brent Wilson, bwilson@germanna.edu

Early Childhood Education - (Career Studies Certificate, Certificate, and Associate Degree) Students completing the associate degree should be eligible for all three awards. Department Chair- Bev Abrams, babrams@germanna.edu
Education (K-8) and Education - The education program includes two transfer associate degrees, one focusing students for transfer into an elementary school teaching curriculum and the other preparing students for transfer into teacher education. Department Chair- Bev Abrams, babrams@germanna.edu
*Emergency Medical Services - A proposal is currently being devised to begin EMS associate degree and career studies certificate programs at GCC. We hope to offer first courses in August 2012 pending state approvals. Come back to this site for updates on the developing program. Coordinator- Jeff Bailey, jbailey@germanna.edu
Engineering - The engineering program includes one associate degree program designed for transfer and two career studies certificates developed to enhance workforce skills. Department Chair- Lisa Murphy, lmurphy@germanna.edu
Fine Arts - Fine Arts is a certificate programs designed to assist those desiring a career in the arts and/or personal enrichment of creative abilities. Department Chair- Jean Lauzon, jlauzon@germanna.edu

Information Systems Technology - The IST program includes three associate degree programs and three career studies certificates each designed to help prepare students for employment in the technology field. Department Chair- Jerry Miller, gmiller@germanna.edu
Legal Assistant - Legal Assistant is a career studies certificate designed to prepare individuals for an entry level position. Department Chair- Irv Comer, icomer@germanna.edu.
