Services are available to students who self-identify and provide appropriate documentation of their disability. Through accommodations and other support services on campus, Germanna Community College strives to provide a quality experience for all qualified students with disabilities. All services are provided at no charge.
Students who are currently registered with Disability Services must request accommodations each semester. It is highly recommended that students request accommodations 2-3 weeks before the start of class. Students are encouraged to pick up their letter(s) the first week of class and distribute them to their instructors. Students granted the accommodation of a note taker, are asked to submit the following form to Disability Services:
To be eligible for services, students must identify themselves to Disability Services. Students are required to provide documentation of their disability (please refer to the links above for more information on what constitutes as appropriate documentation). Once appropriate documentation is received , the Disability Counselor and student collaborate to determine appropriate accommodations.
