Student Government Association

The mission of the Student Government Association (SGA), is to provide students with representation, services and advocacy within the college structure. The Student Government Association provides leadership and accountability to its constituency by recognizing that strength arises from diversity, engagement, and dialogue.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK)

The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa provides opportunities for the development of leadership and service in an intellectual climate.  It fosters the exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.

Real Inspiring Original Talent

(R.I.O.T.)

The purpose of this club is to provide an atmosphere for students to express their musical and poetic gifts. RIOT also serves to educate on cultural differences and spirituality, and allows students to interact socially.

Student Nursing Council

The Germanna Community College Student Nurses Association (GCCSNA) is a chapter of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). The NSNA guides the professional development of registered nursing students and facilitates their entrance into the profession. The GCCSNA is a service oriented club which supports health related activities within the community.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers

The Applied Engineering Club seeks to provide students with opportunities to participate in design projects, field trips, and conferences that explore the engineering field.  We build designs (robots, structures, etc.) that require the application of engineering concepts to real-world problems and scenarios through competitions and community service projects.

Intramural Flag Football

Fredericksburg Fieldhouse offers Intramural 7 vs. 7 flag football leagues for different levels of competition throughout the local area. Student Activities sponsors an interested group of students, currently named the 'Germanna Bears'.  The team is always looking for more players for upcoming seasons!

Ratio Christi is a student led campus organization that meets to discuss the difficult philosophical and theological questions and to train Christians in knowing and communicating what they believe and why they believe.
