Photo Identification Requirements for Compass/ESL test
- Expired documentation cannot be accepted.
- The following documents are preferred for identification:
- Testers presenting a preferred ID will be admitted to testing.
- The following documents are acceptable identification:
- "The ID you are presenting is not one of the preferred forms of identification for this test. Your ID must be forwarded to a supervisor for verification of authenticity. You may go ahead and sit for the test. However, if discrepancies are found with your ID, your placement test scores may be invalidated."

Passport with photo
Permanent Resident Card with photo
State ID with photo
National ID with photo
Military ID with photo
Germanna Community College ID with photo
High School Student ID with photo
Local Employer ID card with photo
Confirmation of identity letter from an education
Institution including date of birth, photo, signature, and date issued.
