DISABILITY SERVICES
Services for Students with Disabilities
Germanna Community College is committed to the full
and total inclusion of all individuals and is dedicated to the principle of
individual empowerment. To this end, services are provided to ensure equal access to all aspects of the college experience for
students with disabilities through the most appropriate accommodations. Services
are provided based on each student's individual needs.
General Information:
Current Students Students who are currently registered with Disability Services must request accommodations each semester. It is highly recommended that students request accommodations 2-3 weeks before the start of class. Students are encouraged to pick up their letter(s) the first week of class and distribute them to their instructors. Students can request their semester accommodation letter(s) by submitting the following form:
Students granted the accommodation of a note taker, are asked to submit the following form to Disability Services:
Prospective Students To be eligible for services, students must identify themselves to Disability Services. Students are required to provide documentation of their disability (please refer to the links above for more information on what constitutes as appropriate documentation). Once appropriate documentation is received , the Disability Counselor and student collaborate to determine appropriate accommodations. Prospective students can set up an appointment with a Disability Counselor by submitting the following form:
