Get a head start. Earn transferable college credit. Save time and money.

Through our Dual Enrollment programs, we offer high school and home-schooled students great opportunities to earn college credit before you graduate.

Traditional

Take classes at your high school with credentialed high school instructors during the regular school day.

Independent

Take classes directly through Germanna, outside of your high school or home-school schedule. Eligible classes are guaranteed to transfer to Virginia public colleges and universities.

Early College

Work toward your high school diploma and transferable associate degree from Germanna at the same time.

Dual Enrollment vs A.P. and I.B.

Unlike A.P. and I.B. courses, dual enrollment offers a more straightforward path to earning college credit—you don’t need to stress over a big exam at the end. As long as you earn a C or higher, you’ll receive transfer credit for the course. You'll also have access to real college resources and a true college experience, helping you get a head start on your higher education journey.

Why choose Germanna?

  • Take affordable classes taught by fully credentialed college faculty
  • Earn college credit based on your performance throughout the semester, instead of a single test
  • Complete up to one year of bachelor's degree coursework while in high school
  • Gain valuable experience in the rigors of a college-level course
