The GED_® Test is administered monthly through the Regional GED Test Center at Germanna Community College - Fredericksburg Area Campus, which is located in Spotsylvania County. The GED test registration fee for first time full test takers is $45.00. The cost for single repeat subject tests is $7.00 per test.

• Test Applicants must register in person in the county or city where they reside.
• Two forms of identification, including a current government issued Photo ID (such as DMV) is required at the time of registration.
• Testing fees must be paid by Money Order prior to the test - at the time of registration:
  • $45.00 - Registration fee for a "First-time Full Test Taker."
  • $7.00 - Registration fee per subject test for Repeat Test Takers
• Please make an appointment to register, in advance, by calling the phone number listed below for your area.

• Click the above link and fill out an online pre-registration form..
• A confirmation email will be sent to your email account. Follow the link in the email to login to your new GED account.
• Complete the online survey and print out the Proof of Registration form. You must take the Proof of Registration form with you to your local registration site when you have your appointment to complete test registration for a specific test date.
• If you do the pre-registration online, you are still required to go "in person" to the local registration site to complete your registration; however, completing the survey online will simplify the process and will save you time at the registration site.
