Apply For Financial Aid
Financial aid is usually awarded based on financial need but can be awarded based on merit or a combination of factors. Merit-based aid is awarded based on the recognition of special skills, talents, or academic record. Need-based aid is awarded based on the applicant demonstrating financial need for the award. Take Placement Tests

Attend Registration Workshop
Registration Workshops are designed to prepare students to register for classes. They are offered in April, July, and November during the year. During the session, placement test scores and programs of study will be explained, schedules will be distributed and explained, GCCOnline student information system will be explained and students will find out how and when to meet with an advisor and how to complete the registration process. Meet With Counselor/Advisor
Counseling Services provides a comprehensive program of support services to promote student access, retention, achievement, and personal and social skill development. Academic Advising is provided by our professional staff of counselors. Assistance in course and program selection for new students and students who have not chosen a curriculum or who plan to transfer without graduating with a degree from Germanna Community College.
