The mee= ting was called to order by Paula McLeod.  The Committee received several

applica= tions for funds; each request was reviewed and/or voted on or returned for more <= /p>

informa= tion.

&n= bsp;

The bud= get for the 2006-2007 is $3,000.00

&n= bsp;

Any emp= loyee interested in attending a non-credit seminar or workshop that they feel

would b= enefit them in their job can pick up an application from a member of this

committ= ee or go to the S drive, click on Public, Professional Development Staff and then

Applica= tion-Pro Development Staff.  The Profes= sional Development Committee will pay

up to $= 175.00 towards the workshop, seminar or text book.  All applications must be

submitt= ed before the second Wednesday of every month. 

&n= bsp;

Any boo= k that is paid for by Professional Development funds remains the property of

Germanna Community College and must be turn= ed in to a board member when he/she

 no longer needs the book.  All books collected will be availa= ble to any person who

would be interested in taking the corresponding class.

&n= bsp;

Christi= na Dennis has volunteered to be the keeper of the returned books.

&n= bsp;

The Professional Development Committee is in the process of reviewing its by-la= ws. If

there a= re any changes everyone will be notified.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2006
