Family and Medical Leave provides eligible employees with 12 weeks of unpaid leave due to the birth of a child, or for adoption or foster care of a child, or to provide care for a family member (child, spouse or parent) with a serious health condition, or because the employee's own serious health condition makes them unable to perform their job duties.
