How to find books in other libraries
- Go to the library home page at www.germanna.edu/library.
- Choose Library Catalogs from the menu on the right.
- Click on WorldCat.
- If you are not using a computer on campus, you will be prompted for a log on ID and password. Use your MyGCC ID and password for access.
- Type the appropriate word or words in the appropriate search box and click Search. You may want to use the Advanced Search to make your results more focused.
- When you find a book or books that you need for class-related research, click on Libraries That Own Item to determine if the item is readily available. We can request items from any library in Virginia at no cost to you.
- See a library staff member for assistance or complete and submit an interlibrary loan request form either in person or electronically here.
- Interlibrary loan books will take from 7-10 days to be received by the Germanna library.
- On-campus students will be notified when the book is available for pick-up. Distance learning students go here for more information.
- Remember to click on “Exit” when you have finished using WorldCat .
