Cumulative GPA Required
- Minimum of 3.6 GPA. If courses are repeated, the original grades will be recalculated into the GPA
Acceptance Status
- Associates of Arts and Science Degrees (AA&S) with a minimum of 45 credit hours earned at the VCCS since graduation from the High School.
- COLL general education requirements must be taken at Germanna:
- One 200 level ENG course with a grade of A
- 1 MATH course (B or better)
- 2 NQR courses (B or better)
- 2 CSI courses (B or better)
- 2 ALV courses (B or better)
- VCCS course equivalencies for COLL classes are listed on W&M’s website.
- Foreign language through 202 completes the W&M requirement- suggested to complete at Germanna but may be taken at W&M.
Letter of Intent Required
- To obtain: type “letter of intent” in College’s website search menu
- Submit a “Letter of Intent to Transfer to W&M” upon the completion of a minimum of 15 credit hours of post-high school coursework with minimum 3.4 post-high school GPA at a VCCS institution (not via transfer credit) and at least one year prior to their desired matriculation date at W&M. Please note that a 3.6 GPA is required at the time the associate degree is earned. If courses are repeated, the original and repeated course grades will be included in the calculation of grade point average. When a student has attended multiple VCCS institutions, all VCCS grades will be considered.
