STUDENT MUST HAVE CURRENT (2013-2014) FAFSA ON FILE, BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS, BE MEETING ALL SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS REQUIREMENTS AND HAVE A WORK-STUDY APPLICATION ON FILE BEFORE APPLYING.
The purpose of this position is to provide direct support to the Technology Support Services Department and its overall contribution to the mission and vision of Germanna Community College.
Work-study student duties include but are not limited to: Assisting the Computer Network Technicians, Audio Visual Technician, and Operation Manager at the Locust Grove Campus as needed. This includes tasks from unboxing and moving equipment to basic repairs of network cabling and network drops. At times, the work-study student may be sent out to give basic helpdesk support to internal customers. PC repair, maintenance, and configuration will also be done by the work-study student at times as needed.
