Policies for Interactive Video (IV) Support:

• Conference Room Support :
  • Germanna faculty and staff (end-users) are responsible for the setup and shut down of equipment for all standard IV meeting.  Standard includes:
         -  Any connection between GCC sites
  • Technical Services will provide support for non-standard IV setup upon receipt of a Help Desk request.  Non-standard includes:
         -  A connection between GCC and a non-GCC site
         -  A connection involving GCC guests or students
         -  Any connections involving special circumstances or special needs (non-traditional setup)
• Tech Services will respond to any IV problems that occur
• Classroom Support :
  • Tech Services will setup and test equipment prior to the start of classes
  • The end user is responsible for operating the equipment and ensuring the equipment at each connected site is shut down at the end of each class
  • Tech Services will respond to any IV problems that occur
  • Other room uses - if IV meetings are scheduled in the classrooms the support will be the same as what is listed under the Conference Room Support section above

Procedure for scheduling an Interactive Video meeting

• To Reserve a Room:
  • Conference Rooms - Reserve the conference rooms through your own Microsoft Outlook calendar. Click on the following link for step-by-step directions on "How to book a conference room"
• Classrooms - See contact list below to reserve IV classrooms
• Training Resources:
  • Review Interactive Video training resources below
• Technical Support:
  • Submit a Help Desk ticket if Technical Support is needed

Note: If the meeting involves connecting 3 or more sites, one of the rooms reserved must be a classroom.
