Provide Training for your Workforce:

The Germanna Center for Workforce and Community Education is the point of contact for workplace skills updates and training needs. Martha O'Keefe, Director of Workforce at the Fredericksburg Campus, and Russell James, Director of Workforce at the Daniel Technology Center in Culpeper are responsible for the development and implementation of corporate training contracts.

Customized Training

The Center for Workforce and Community Education is dedicated to the economic development of the region through improved workforce skills. We offer programs designed specifically to meet the needs of local employers. In addition, the professional staff at the Center for Workforce is available to develop customized skills training for a variety of settings and organizational structures.

Local Government Training

The Center for Workforce and Community Education is offering a series of workshops that have been designed to assist you in your professional development as a local government employee.

Needs Assessment

Through the use of formal and informal assessment methods, Germanna can help businesses and agencies identify and evaluate their business training needs. We work with employers and their staff to determine the skills that employees need, the best methods to achieve the needed skills, and a choice of methods for reaching their goals.

Pre-employment Training

The Center for Workforce can assist new or expanding companies in developing and presenting pre-employment training programs. We assess abilities, vocational interests, and aptitudes of prospective employees. We work directly with the Workforce Services Division for Virginia's Department of Business Assistance and the Virginia Employment Commission.

Industry Preparation and Certification

The Center for Workforce offers a variety of industry certifications and preparations. These include:
