How to request your transcript

Important Information

Official Transcript

  • Order transcript(s) electronically through Parchment
  • If you are a new user, select Create Account. If you are a returning user, you would log in using the email address and password that you used when creating your account. If you have forgotten your password, click “Forgot your password” to have a temporary one sent to your email. Be sure to change your password prior to logging off.
  • Once you are logged in, follow prompts to complete steps 2-6 to request your transcript(s)

Unofficial Transcript

  • Log into myGCC
  • Click SIS
  • Click Academic Records
  • Click View Unofficial Transcript
  • Follow the instructions to view/print unofficial transcript

If you have not attended Germanna in the past 3 years and you have forgotten your Germanna student ID number, please include your social security number and date of birth when filling out the electronic transcript request. Order transcript(s) electronically through Parchment.

Cost of Transcripts

Parchment transcripts cost $3.00 for e-transcripts and $5.50 for transcripts to be sent by USPS (United States Postal Service). Transcripts can be overnighted with an additional cost to the student.

Processing Time

Transcripts take up to 48 business hours for processing.

Releasing Transcript

If you have a past due balance or if you have not completed exit counseling (for students who have loans) you will have a hold on your record that may prevent Germanna from releasing your transcript. Check your myGCC Student Center for any holds.

Required Attachments

If attachments are required (i.e., for law or medical school admission services), you will need to attach the documents when submitting your online transcript request through Parchment.

Non-Credit Transcripts

Non-Credit transcripts should be requested through your campus Workforce Development Office at (540) 891-3012.

Official Transcripts

Most colleges and organizations will not accept an opened paper copy of your transcript, they consider it to be unofficial. Therefore, if you plan to send the transcript to a college or organization DO NOT OPEN THE TRANSCRIPT.
