Quality Enhancement Plan
A Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) describes a carefully designed and focused course of action that addresses a well-defined topic or issue(s) emerging from institutional assessment and focuses on enhancing student learning or the environments supporting student learning. Quality Enhancement Plans are required for accreditation and reaffirmation by accrediting bodies. Characteristics of a good QEP are:
- A plan showing broad community input
- Directly related to student learning or the environment supporting student learning
- Use of assessment data
- Will benefit the College and/or its students
Topics that other colleges have used include critical thinking, written communication skills, improvement of reading comprehension, advising programs, and problem solving. Germanna Community College’s last QEP topic was Ready, Set, Go Online. It focused on improving online learning readiness for students, faculty/courses, and the institution.
We are seeking your input on GCC’s next Quality Enhancement Plan. Please tell us what you think a good topic would be. Just enter your comments in the text box below. Data submission will be analyzed for topic areas and presented to faculty and administration for consideration.
Thank you for your participation and role in advancing Germanna Community College.Suggest A Topic
