All students at Germanna have access to a VCCS (Virginia Community College System) email account provided by Google. Access your VCCS email account through MyGCC.

- Google Calendar With Google Calendar you can schedule your social and academic life, create personal calendars, invite friends to events, and set up meeting times with your classmates.
- Google Docs Great for working on group projects. You can create a text document or spreadsheet, share it with your classmates, and collaborate in real-time.
- Google Sites Is a way for you to easily and quickly create websites for projects and class assignments by yourself or while collaborating with others.
- Google Hangouts Allows you to chat in real-time from within your email account.
Using your email account
As a Germanna student, you are required to use the VCCS email address as your official email address for college-related communication. You may elect to forward mail (at your own risk) from your official VCCS email account to another (student-selected) email system. Users are subject to the Information Technology Student-Patron Ethics Agreement of the Virginia Community College System.
